Support the School
"The University of South Alabama is about who you want to be, what you want to achieve and where you want to go."
Higher education presents more opportunities for learning, innovation and experience
today more than ever before. Private philanthropy is essential in sustaining the quality
of education and making its benefits available for all students. Your support makes
a huge difference not only in the lives of our students and faculty but our community.
Whether you give five dollars or five thousand dollars, the School is grateful for the endless opportunities you provide to help us achieve our mission of making quality education a reality for our students.
There are a wide variety of ways you can support the students at the School. Your gifts can provide financial assistance to students in need, fund critical research or unique programs. We invite you to give at a level that is personally significant to you. Your gift will be directed to the School of Continuing Education and Special Programs and may be tax deductible. Please feel free to contact any member of the team for further information or assistance.

The School of Continuing Education and Special Programs attracts outstanding students. Scholarships assist the School in maintaining the high caliber of students who chose to attend USA and our outreach programs. In addition, many of our students are first generation college students who must work while undertaking a very challenging and time demanding curriculum. Scholarships assist these students by allowing them to reduce their work responsibilities so that they can focus on completing their degrees.
A variety of options are available to donors who want to establish a scholarship for students. For example, a one time gift can be donated or an endowment can be established to ensure perpetuity of the gift. A minimum gift of $10,000 will establish a named endowed scholarship fund. Such a gift can be made through payments extended over a period of time. The development office works closely with donors to be sure the scholarship benefits the type of students the donor wants to help. Contact the School of Continuing Education and Special Programs Development Officer for more details.
Through accomplished faculty and staff, the School of Continuing Education and Special Programs is the primary public service outreach arm for the University. Our mission is to provide and support lifelong educational learning experiences and to serve as an advocate for both traditional and non-traditional students. Support for professorships and endowed chairs are ways donors can help the School with its quest to be the best. Such endowments allow the School to augment its faculty by hiring additional top notch professionals to teach, participate in scholarship, and provide service to the university, the profession, and the community. A minimum gift of $250,000 will create a named endowment. This endowment can be paid in a variety of ways including extending payments over time.
