I am very excited to be returning to my home at the University of South Alabama! I have been a “local” ever since I was little, having grown up in Turnerville, Alabama, which is in north Mobile County. I received both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from South, and was involved in as much as I could get my hands on. I am a proud geek, and love to watch Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, Firefly, Star Trek, and others. I also love to play Dungeons and Dragons and play video games. I have always loved this school, and cannot wait to serve it further!

Thing to do on campus
Go to performances by the drama and music departments. I love listening to the music and seeing the shows; and marching band is one of my favorites!
Ghouls for Good (USA Honors program Halloween canned food drive) Jag Jam
Thing about USA
The familial atmosphere. At South, people genuinely care about your success and want to see you be great at everything you do. Here, you are more than just a number to so many people; whether it is your teacher, a fellow student, a staff member, even the people who work in the Fresh Food Company and Food Court, all of these people want you to succeed. And that feels awesome.
Place to eat in Mobile
Foosackley’s and Moe’s BBQ downtown. And no one can beat Three Georges Chocolate!
Very eclectic. Everything from rock, to folk, to showtunes, to metal, to international. Right now some of my favorites are The Classic Crime, Mumford and Sons, Kimya Dawson, and Regina Spektor.
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Like choosing between my children! My current favorite (living, modern) author is Brandon Sanderson (Mistborn, Warbreaker, The Way of Kings, Elantris). I also love the Wheel of Time series, Harry Potter, Name of the Wind, Wise Man’s Fear, the Night Angel Trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, I could go on and on for hours…
