In an effort to develop a more prepared USA community, the Department of Campus Recreation offers the American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Our certification is open to USA students, employees, and the community.
Please note this course is for the layperson, not professional rescuer. **The College of Nursing no longer accepts American Red Cross CPRO certification to meet the requirements for nursing students; they must have American Heart Association.
This course has two parts, an online portion followed by a hands on classroom skill assessment. The classroom skill assessment will only require two hours to complete. It is recommended that each department have at least one, if not multiple, staff members certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. Below are the instructions on how to sign up for a course.
