eating snacks

Dining Information

All campers should bring two snacks each day. Due to allergies, please do not send peanut/peanut butter products.

Campers in sessions 1-7 are provided lunch in the all-you-can-eat dining hall on campus.

Campers in session 8 must bring a lunch from home.  The dining hall is closed the week of July 31-August 4.  Please note there is no refrigerator or microwave available for campers’ lunches. Due to allergies, please do not send peanut/peanut butter products.

At the dining hall, campers have many food options from which to choose.  There is a salad bar (salad items, fresh fruit, nuts, seeds available), soup bar, sandwich bar, hibachi grill item, and the ever-popular pizza bar.  Hamburgers, rotisserie chicken, and other items may be offered on certain days.  There is a soda machine, but water and milk are also available.  We want parents to know that there are some healthy options provided, however our counselors do not tell the campers which food items to choose.  If you want your child to choose healthier options, please talk to him/her before camp.

Counselors will intervene if the campers are abusing the all-you-can-eat privilege, such as not eating what they take or putting too much on their plates at one time.  Campers may get one piece of pizza at a time, then go back if still hungry.  Counselors will also monitor the ice cream machine per request from Dining Services.
