▼   Orientation
Attending the International Admissions and Student Service's International Student Orientation and an immigration orientation with the Immigration Manager is mandatory for new incoming J-1 Exchange Students. Orientation provides vital information for placement testing, advising, registration for classes, maintaining your immigration status, immunization requirements, parking services, health insurance requirements, and much more! All new exchange students should arrive to Mobile in time to attend. Please see your Office of International Education welcome letter for information on orientation dates and times.
▼   Registration

Registration is the process of making course selections and enrolling in classes. This occurs prior to the beginning of each term.

All students use PAWS (Personal Access Web System) for their registration. PAWS is a web accessible, dynamic, and interactive computer system that provides services to students, faculty, and staff of USA based on their relationship to the University.

Check this site often! Important changes and messages will be posted to this site weekly.

Registration is not complete until:

  1. All fees have been paid
  2. All admissions documents have been received
  3. All examinations are complete

Failure to satisfy any admission or registration requirements is sufficient cause for dropping a student from all his classes.

International students are required to maintain full-time status while enrolled at U.S. institutions of higher learning. USA requires a minimum of 12 semester hours for undergraduates and 6 semester hours for graduates to be classified as a full-time student.
