New Hall opened fall 2013, housing 350 residents in rooms for two, a classroom, conference room, multipurpose rooms, interior hallways, large lobby areas, and a large laundry room. New Hall has an additional academic focus through use of the faculty-in-residence program. A Faculty in Residence lives in New Hall along with numerous residence life staff. This increases faculty and student interaction and promotes academic integration throughout the residential experience. Multiple Learning Communities are included in New Hall for those interested in improving their overall academic experience. The New Hall Community is considered part of the Northwest Area of Housing. New Hall's Community Office is located inside the front doors of the building on the first floor with the staff being accessed through the front desk. Routine matters should be handled during business hours which are 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday-Friday; however, there is a staff member available or "On Duty" to assist with emergencies at any time. The New Hall Community Office is prepared to assist with maintenance requests, housing questions, room change requests, concerns, and lock-outs for residents of this community.
The New Hall Community Director's office is located behind the front desk of New Hall. The CD has office hours Monday – Friday, 1PM – 5PM. If they need the CD outside of these office hours, the office staff or RA On-Duty can assist them with getting connected.
