The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literature at University of South
Alabama invites applications for a full-time (9 month), non-tenure-track instructor position in
Spanish to begin August 15, 2024. Candidates must possess an M.A. in Spanish or a closely
related field. We seek an outstanding educator to teach lower- and upper-division
courses in
Spanish language. Previous collegiate-level teaching experience preferred. The successful
candidate must demonstrate native or near native proficiency in spoken and written
Spanish and
English and excellence in teaching at all levels. Committee work and continuing professional
development are expected.
