Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP)

Graduates of this program will earn a DNP degree and be eligible to certify as Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has set a 2015 date for full implementation of the DNP as the entry level for advanced practice.


Requirements for Admission

The requirements for admission to the DNP program are located on the DNP Home Page and in the University of South Alabama Undergraduate/Graduate Bulletin.

While NPPC/DNP classes are taught online, all students enrolled in MCN 548 (first NPPC clinical course) are required to attend a mandatory two (2) day orientation. The orientation will be held September 5th and 6th, 2014. Attendance is required and will allow for questions and interaction with course faculty. Various clinical skills workshops will be held during the orientation.
