 **7-Month STEM OPT Extension Important Updates**
 
OIS processing time is 10 business days. If you need OIS to mail the I-20 to you, additional mailing time is needed. It is your responsibility to submit your 7 month I-20 request to OIS with the necessary lead time for these processes to occur to receive your I-20 with enough time to submit your application to USCIS by your filing deadline.

Upon acceptance you will receive an acceptance packet. The packet contains valuable information regarding immigration, SEVIS requirements, arrival assistance, orientation, and important dates.

The International Application for Admission and all required documents must be received no later than these established deadlines. Applications completed after the deadline will be considered for the next available session.

The University of South Alabama publishes certain crime statistics each year as required by the Jeanne Clery Act. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the school. The policy statements address the school's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security. Three years' worth of statistics are included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings and property owned or controlled by the school and on public property immediately adjacent to the campus.
