Leslie Crowned Miss USA 2003
Britni
Morgan Leslie, a freshman communication major and a native
of Mobile, is crowned the winner of the 2003 Miss University
of South Alabama Scholarship Pageant earning a $1,500 scholarship.
She won the platform award with a focus on United Cerebral
Palsy. In addition, she won the swimsuit award.
Leslie
was crowned by Julia Janasky, Miss USA 2002. Leslie will also
compete in the Miss Alabama Pageant to be held in June at
Samford University in Birmingham. This is a preliminary program,
which leads to the Miss America Pageant. Leslie is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Leslie. During the talent segment, she
performed a vocal selection.
The
fourth runner-up is sophomore Elizabeth Dupree Hinson of Montgomery,
the third runner-up is freshman Erica Elaine Syklawer of Dothan,
the second runner-up is junior Anna Adelle Reynolds of Grove
Hill and the first runner-up is freshman Christina Clarke
of Mobile.
