Communication Major Crowned Miss USA 2004

Anna Reynolds of Grove Hill, Ala., has been crowned the 2004 Miss University of South Alabama earning a $1,500 scholarship. Reynolds, a senior communication major also won the spirit and talent awards. She was crowned by Miss USA 2003 Britni Leslie.

Reynolds is the daughter of Sharon Reynolds and the late Frankie Reynolds. She will begin preparing to compete in the Miss Alabama Pageant to be held in June at Samford University in Birmingham. This is a preliminary program, which leads to the Miss America Pageant.

The fourth runner-up is freshman Camille Perillo earning a $450 scholarship; the third runner-up is junior Erica Skylawer earning a $550 scholarship; the second

runner-up is Anna Murphy earning a $650 scholarship; and the first runner-up is sophomore Morgan Ellis earning a $750 scholarship.

Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity is one of the major sponsors of the Miss USA Pageant. Funds raised from the event support the chapter’s philanthropy, PUSA America, which aids in helping the severely handicapped.
