Will Jackson, 21, a junior accounting major and native of Florence, Ala., will serve as president of the SGA. He’s a member of the USA Southerners student ambassador group, Freshman Advisory Board, and Accounting Club. He’s the son of Dean and Patricia Jackson.
Jennifer Edwards, 20, of Heflin, Ala., will serve as vice president. She is a sophomore political science and criminal justice major and a member of the Freshman Advisory Board. She has also served as a SGA Senator, Peer Advisor, and chair of the College Republicans. She is the daughter of Richard and Kelley Edwards. Richard Soto, 21, of Mobile will serve as treasurer. He is a junior political science and criminal justice major and a grand master of ceremonies for Kappa Sigma Fraternity, member of the USA Model United Nations, USA Honors Program and vice president judicial for the Interfraternity Council. He is the son of Robert and Darathy K. Soto.
Daniel Souers, 23, native of Ocean Springs, Miss., was elected attorney general. He is a senior majoring in marketing, and a co-founder of the Outlaws, a USA student athletics fan club. He’s also a member of the Freshman Resident Advisory Council, and Campus Outreach. He’s the son of Steve and Jo Souers.
The purpose of the SGA is to protect and advance student interests as well as to promote the welfare of the student body. The organization operates as a constitutional democracy and is comprised of executive judicial and legislative branches.
USA has awarded more than 56,000 degrees and its more than 2,000 graduates per year take their place in a wide range of professions, including education, health care, engineering, the sciences, business and commerce, government and public service, the arts and humanities, and many others.
