The U.S.A. Nature Trail Project, is a collaborative effort among students, faculty, and staff at the University of South Alabama to
establish an interpretive nature trail and an enhanced outdoor
experiential learning environment on campus.
The Faculty Senate would like to invite and encourage all faculty and
staff to attend the Senate sponsored U.S.A. Nature Trail Clean-up Day on
Saturday, November 14 at 10:00. Clean-up will involve picking up trash
and clearing trails. Bring any of the following items: gloves,
clippers/loppers, small axes, machetes (for removing thorny bushes out
of the way for picking up trash in hard to reach areas), and trash bags.
If you haven't visited the Nature Trail, this is a perfect opportunity!
Bring your family and come!
The Nature Trail is located on Hospital Drive. You can park in the
maintenance building parking lot and walk across the boardwalk or up the
road to the main entrance (near ROTC repelling tower and pond) OR you
can drive and park right at the trail entrance. The road ends at a gate
and there is room for cars.
