USA Features Mark Curry at Homecoming Celebration

The University of South Alabama will celebrate Homecoming 2007 with the theme, “Let the Good Times Roll.” Alumni, students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to enjoy a host of activities from Feb. 1-11, including athletic and alumni events, a pep rally, and comedy show featuring comedian and star of “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,” Mark Curry.

Curry has hosted “Showtime at the Apollo,” and appeared opposite Kirstie Alley in his recurring role on Showtime’s hit series “Fat Actress.” Curry also put his golden touch on BET’s comedy talent search show “Coming to the Stage.” He spent time working as an NBA correspondent for ESPN’s “Cold Pizza” and performed stand up specials, which can regularly be seen on HBO and Comedy Central.

In addition, Curry has had a recurring role on “The Drew Carey Show,” as Drew’s boss at Winfred-Louder. He also did an episode of “The Jamie Foxx Show as an eccentric driving instructor.

The celebration will culminate in a doubleheader basketball game and recognition of the homecoming court on Sunday, Feb. 11. The doubleheader will feature the USA women’s basketball team vs. Arkansas State at 1:15 p.m. and the men’s basketball team vs. Arkansas State at 3:30 p.m.
