The University of South Alabama’s United Way Campaign recently held a breakfast to celebrate total giving of $280,212, making USA the largest employee-funded campaign for the United Way of Southwest Alabama. USA’s campaign exceeded its goal of $278,000.
The United Way contributions came from more than 2,500 USA employees, an increase of more than 140 donors over last year. Donors to the Women’s Initiative increased to 30, from 25 last year. Also, a new retiree campaign, led by Dr. Glenn Sebastian, began this year.
The USA Campaign was chaired by Dr. Richard Talbott, dean of the College of Allied Health Professions, and co-chaired by Dr. Vaughn Millner, interim dean of the School of Continuing Education and Special Programs. |
