Alexandria Hilliard |
Alexandria Hilliard, 20, of Birmingham, Ala., is the winner of the “South Alabama’s Got Talent” Annual 2011 Miss University of South Alabama Scholarship Pageant, earning a $1,500 scholarship. Hilliard, a sophomore nursing major has a passion for working with youth. Her platform is “Mentor and Motivate Fallen Youth.”
Hilliard will begin preparing to compete in the Miss Alabama Pageant to be held June 2011 in Birmingham. This is a preliminary program of the Miss America Pageant. She is the daughter of John Hilliard and Terry Powell.
The fourth runner-up is Carrie Abigail Baird, a fine arts sophomore from Trussville, Ala, who earned a $450 scholarship; third runner-up is Valerie Evette Turgeau, a finance senior from Pascagoula, Miss., who earned $550 scholarship; second runner-up is Lauren Catherine Gessner, a political science junior, who earned a $650 scholarship; and first runner-up Melissa Mary DiCesare, an occupational therapy major, who earned a $750 scholarship.
