The University of South Alabama’s Office of Multi-Cultural Student Affairs announces the 2013-2014 officers for the Abeneefoo Kuo Honor Society. The ABK officers are the following:

Kadeem Fuller, 20, a sophomore political science major from Opelika, Ala., will serve as president. Fuller is a member of Men of Excellence where he serves as community service chair and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he serves as vice president and secretary. His parents are Barry and Bobbie Fuller. 

Chelsea Wimbish, 19, a freshman nursing major from Dothan, Ala., will serve as vice president. Wimbish is a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and Women of Excellence where she serves as co-chair of fundraising. Her parents are Sterling and Theresa Wimbish.

Genesis Foster, 19, a sophomore majoring in physical education from Tuscaloosa, Ala., will serve as treasurer. Foster is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is the daughter of Leon and Judy Ruffin.

La’Shunta McQueen, 18, a sophomore majoring in radiologic sciences from Montgomery, Ala., will serve as historian. McQueen is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the African-American Student Association. Her parents are Baron and Gwendolyn McQueen.

Jamaal Rhodes, 19, a freshman business major from Chatom, Ala., will serve as parliamentarian. Rhodes is a member of the African-American Student Association and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He is the son of George and Theda Rhodes.

Autrionne Monroe, 19, a freshman majoring in physical therapy from Biloxi, Miss., will serve as community service chair. Monroe is a member of Students Today Alumni Tomorrow and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama, Inc. Her parents are Dennis and Vanissa Thompson.

ABK was established for African-American students with outstanding abilities in academics, leadership, and service with a 3.0 GPA or better. This honor society holds an induction ceremony every spring during Black History Month.
