The University of South Alabama’s Office of Multi-Cultural Student Affairs announces the 2013-2014 officers for Women of Excellence. The WOX officers are the following:

Tiquera Whatley, 21, a junior communication major from Montgomery, Ala., will serve as president. Whatley is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and has been acknowledged as one of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Her parents are Derryl Whatley and Tara Hammonds.

Chelsea Barley, 21, a junior majoring in leisure studies from Tuscaloosa, Ala., will serve as vice president. Barley is member of the African-American Student Association, where she serves as treasurer. She is the daughter of Arma Barley.

Diamond Godbolt, 20, a sophomore majoring in speech and hearing sciences from Ocean Springs, Miss., will serve as treasurer. Godbolt is an orientation leader and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Her parents are Terry and Loretta Godbolt.

Datrianna Godbolt, 20, a sophomore majoring in health sciences from Ocean Springs, Miss., will serve as historian. She is a member of the African-American Student Association and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Her parents are Terry and Loretta Godbolt.

Olivia Lee, 20, a sophomore majoring in health care management from Ocean Springs, Miss., will serve as parliamentarian. Lee has received a Showcase of Excellence award and is a member of the African-American Student Association where she serves as vice president. She is the daughter of Douglas and Cynthia Lee.

The Women of Excellence program began in March 2006. The purpose of this program is to ensure, encourage and motivate African-American women at USA to establish and use leadership skills. The program focuses on career opportunities, etiquette, and student involvement on campus.
