Scholarships for Transfer Students
 
Community College Transfer Scholarships
 
 

• For community college students enrolling in the fall semester.

• Provides $1,000 per year scholarship for up to three years.

• Based on the GPA from your two-year institution.

• Must apply for admission to USA.

• Have your two-year transcript mailed to the USA Office of Admissions by May 1.

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarships
 
 

• Available to four Phi Theta Kappa members enrolling in the fall semester.

• Provides $1,500 scholarships annually for up to two years.

• Minimum GPA of 3.70 with at least 30 earned hours from their two-year institution.

• Must apply for admission to USA and have official college transcripts mailed to the USA Office of Admissions by May 1.

• Phi Theta Kappa members must submit a letter of recommendation from your PTK college advisor.

• Awards are made in mid-summer.

USA Alumni Scholarships
 
 

• Awarded by the University’s National Alumni Association.

• Scholarships range from book awards to tuition fee waivers.

• Each USA academic department offers a variety of scholarships.

• Contact your academic department for information on what’s available.

• SCIS Sponsored Scholarships (Computer and Information Sciences)

SCIS Sponsored Transfer Scholarships – The School of Computer and Information Sciences awards scholarships in amounts ranging up to $3,000 to students who transfer into the USA and pursue a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology. Students must transfer in at least 60 hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. For more information, contact the School of CIS at (251) 460-6390.
