Admissions

Welcome, future Jaguars. We hope you find a home at the University of South Alabama. It’s not a small college, but it feels like one. Students take pride in greeting old friends and helping newcomers find their way around campus.

The University is home to nearly 14,000 students and more than 100 academic programs. Our 1,200-acre campus has been transformed over the last decade with new academic buildings and athletic facilities, including Hancock Whitney Stadium.

At the core of our academic offering are our nine colleges and schools, the newest is South’s Honors College, which is focused on research, scholarship and cultural engagement. Some students learn to SURF with a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. Graduate education is a priority at South.

Campus life includes fraternities, sororities and student groups for all interests. The South mascot is SouthPaw. There’s always room for another Jaguar.
