Message from USA College of Education and Professional Studies Dean Dr. Andi Kent:
On behalf of the USA College of Education and Professional Studies, I would like to say a tremendous congratulations to our graduates! During a time of unprecedented challenges and uncertainty, your strength and determination has been unwavering. While it has not been easy, you remained true to yourselves and to your educational journey.
Helen Keller once said, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched- they must be felt with the heart.”
Graduates, you remained optimistic and kept your hope and faith, even when the situation sometimes felt impossible.
You will forever remember how the circumstances of your graduating semester literally changed the world. You will embrace the confidence that comes from perseverance and overcoming difficulty. You are empowered as committed educators, health and wellness specialists, hospitality and tourism leaders, instructional designers, and countless additional interdisciplinary professionals.
My hope is that through this experience, we grasp the beauty of life, the power and strength we glean from each other, and the tenacity and resilience that will frame our collective character. Without a doubt, the most beautiful things in our world must be felt with our hearts.
Now, as fellow South Alabama alumni, may you continue to make a difference in our world. We are deeply proud of your accomplishments and are honored that you are forever a part of the CEPS family, as South is Home!
