Design, Build, Fly
Posted on October 23, 2015 by Engineering

AIAA was created out of the Design, Build, Fly(DBF) Organization started in Fall of 2014 spearheaded by Stephen Green. DBF is a student design competition that involves designing building and flying an aircraft for the DBF AIAA Student Competition held every year. Currently DBF is hard at work putting their aircraft together. Above you can see president Stephen Green and sponsor Bill Culberson working on the CNC machine to create the aeroshaft and wing box. Bill Culberson is a UAV enthusiast who works at Star Aviation. He has been more than happy to offer his toolshop to help in the fabrication of this years carbon fiber aircraft. More photos to come.
