From front to back: Matt LaBoe and Fariboyz Bayat doing some prop testing
The students are hard at work building the aircraft for their capstone design. Below we've got Matt LaBoe and Fariboyz Bayat doing some prop testing. This device powers up the rotor and a load sensor is attached to the rear of the prop. As the prop increases thrust the load sensor measures the amount of force in pounds. The students can then use this in their aircraft model to see if they have a high enough T/W to perform the mission optimally.
