Message from the Dean
MCOB Staff: Our Special Brand of Lagniappe
While we regularly recognize and applaud the contributions and achievements of faculty and students in the Mitchell College of Business, we less often sing the praises of our very competent, able, and customer-centered staff. These are the individuals that work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to make faculty and students shine. They provide an invaluable support system that is ‘critical infrastructure’ for the MCOB. Strategically, operationally, and tactically, our staff team comprise the superglue needed to hold us together as a functioning, responsive, and effective organization.
Our staff team encompasses a range of functions and talents including Student Services, Learning Resource Center, Experiential Learning, Marketing, Centers, Dean’s Office, and Administrative Assistants in Departments (Accounting, Economics/Finance, Management, Marketing). Two less-heralded team members are our custodial staff. Collectively, all of these individuals support our core mission in their own special and unique ways. They make a big difference for all of us.
Staff members add immensely to the joy of being a member of the MCOB culture. They help shape our work environment. After reading this note, please make a special effort to stop and tell a staff member how much you appreciate what they do and how they make a big positive difference in the quality of the Mitchell College of Business.
