Mr. Jay Hunt

Excellence in Teaching 

Mr. James "Jay" Hunt, Instructor in Management, received the Excellence in Teaching Award (2020-2021). Mr. Hunt has an undergraduate degree in organizational communication, a Master of Arts in Public and Corporate Communication, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Alabama. His research interests include social media, social entrepreneurship, and leadership. Hunt is active with student organizations on campus, and is involved in civic organizations in the community. 

 

Dr. Charlene Dadzie

Excellence in Research

Dr. Charlene Dadzie, Assistant Professor of Marketing and Quantitative Methods, received the Excellence in Research Award (2020-2021) Dr. Dadzie holds a Ph.D. of Business  Marketing from the University of North Texas and an M.I.L.R. from Cornell University. Dr. Dadzie’s research interests are in consumer behavior, international marketing, and the intersection of marketing and public policy which include: using the imagination as a persuasive tool, marketplace inclusion, firm strategy in emerging markets and subsistence consumer/producers.

 

 


Dr. Chris Lawrey

Professor of the Year

Dr. Lawrey, Assistant Professor of Finance, and Director of Jaguar Investment Fund, received the Professor of the Year Award (2020-2021). Dr. Lawrey received his PhD from the University of Mississippi. His research interests are Working Capital Management, Cash Management, Trade Credit, and Corporate Finance.

 

Jeanne Maes

Frank R. Urbancic Faculty Fellow

Dr. Maes, Professor of Management, received the Frank R. Urbancic Faculty Fellow Award. Dr. Maes received her PhD from the University of Southern Mississippi. She specializes in Communication, negotiation, conflict management, organizational development and change, partnering, team-building, and leadership.
