MCOB Student Spotlight: Cheyenne Jackson
Posted on February 20, 2024 by MCOB Outreach

Cheyenne Jackson is a senior at the University of South Alabama. Originally from Athens,
Georgia, Cheyenne now enjoys her time in Mobile at the Mitchell College of Business.
Although Cheyenne intended to take the pre-med track at South, she found her calling
within the world of business. After immersing herself in the Mitchell College of Business,
she quickly came to the realization that she had a passion for finance.
Cheyenne has certainly made her mark at South and is currently involved in the Jaguar
Investment Fund, undergraduate research, the Kappa Delta Sorority, Mitchell Ambassadors,
and works within the student services office. “Getting involved will open so many
doors and give you connections that you can use throughout college and even to prepare
for life after college.”
Cheyenne’s involvement has shown to benefit her in many ways. “During my time as a
student at MCOB, I have seen how much the professors care about you. They want to
see you succeed and will help you in any way they can. Whether that is preparing for
research presentations, graduate school interviews, job interviews, or even resume
building.”
After securing her undergraduate degree in Finance, Cheyenne plans to attend graduate
school to obtain a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration.
She plans to use her education to work in healthcare administration within a hospital
setting, eventually making it to a leadership position within the hospital.
“You can do anything you set your mind to, and nothing can hold you back when you
take the opportunity.”
