2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band Registration Information
Welcome to the 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band Registration Page!
The 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band will be held on Saturday, November 2nd on the campus of the University of South Alabama at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Students who have navigated to this page should have received email confirmation of their acceptance.
Schedule
GAME TIME IS 6:30PM vs. the Georgia Southern Eagles! Check-in will occur on campus at the HKS Building (please see map in registration packet).
For planning purposes, a tentative schedule is provided below with approximate times before kick-off. Once the game time has been set we will release an official schedule and email all participants!
Jaguar Marching Honor Band Gameday Schedule
Registration
Congratulations on your selection to the 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band! You have been selected to participate in this event both on the strength of your application along with your achievements thus far in your high school music career. Please read carefully below in order to successfully register for the 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band.
2024 Registration Packet (This includes your Welcome Letter, Schedule, and Map)
To complete your registration you must do the following:
Step 1
Process your payment via credit card at the Jaguar Marching Honor Band U-Store. All major credit/debit cards are accepted. If you have multiple children you are
paying for each purchase must be done as a separate transaction.
Please Note: Payment for the Jaguar Marching Honor Band is non-refundable.
Step 1: 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band Payment Portal

2) Fill out your Medical Form, Media Release, and Liability Release Forms available online (you will be asked for the participant's medical information - all information is kept strictly confidential). You must fill out this form individually for each child you have participating.
Step 2: Health Statement, Media Release, & Liability Release
All registration must be complete by Sunday, October 27th, at 11:59PM.
Parking and Drop-Off
All accepted Marching Honor Band students will receive a parking pass for either drop-off or gameday parking (if the student is driving themselves) for Lot 501/502 (large lot on Student Services Drive across from tennis courts and HKS Building). Lot 501/502 will be accessed via Entry 5 (Student Services Drive and Old Shell Road). This parking pass will allow Marching Honor Band participants to enter campus to either drop off participants or for participants to park. This pass will be emailed to participants on Monday, October 28th with detailed information about how to enter campus.
Students transporting themselves will be allowed to park their vehicle in Lot 501/502 for the duration of the event. Parents/guardians dropping off students will follow Student Services Drive to the HKS building, drop off and then be directed back down Student Services Drive to Old Shell Road.
Dress
Uniform for the game for Jaguar Marching Honor Band students is jeans and your Jaguar Marching Honor Band shirt that you will receive at check-in. We urge you to always plan for the possibility of a rain shower just in case! November weather can sometimes be warm and sometimes be cool - regardless we urge you to dress comfortably and make sure to hydrate prior to gameday!
Colorguard and twirlers should wear your marching honor band t-shirt and khaki shorts, tennis skirt, or black leggings that allow you to complete the Jaguar Marching Honor Band Colorguard and Twirler routines.
Campus Map and Hotels
An interactive Campus Map is available for those visiting campus for the first time. In addition a printable PDF Campus Map is available. Please note that registration will occur at the HKS Building (Health, Kinesiology, and Sport (formerly HPELS - Health, Physical Education, and Sport Management and Recreation Studies) that houses the Jaguar Marching Band Rehearsal Room.
There are also many other hotels that are close to the USA campus. We encourage you and your family to check out Mobile if you are not from the area!
Marching Honor Band Seating
The Jaguar Marching Band will be seated in Sections 119-123 of Hancock Whitney Stadium. This is located in the Northeast portion of the stands. The Marching Honor Band will be performing to the press box side of the stadium for halftime.

Family and Friends interested in game tickets for the November 2nd game against Georgia Southern University featuring the Jaguar Marching Honor Band may purchase discounted tickets online.

Following the JMHB/JMB Combined Halftime Performance
All Marching Honor Band members will have to choose one of the following options following halftime:
1) Transport back to HKS via charter bus across campus immediately following halftime
2) Watch the second half in the stands with the JMB and transport back to HKS via
charter bus after the game
Color Guard Routines
All Color Guard members should visit the following link below to view the routine for the 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band. The routine is choreographed by Ms. Jordan Looney and Mrs. Victoria Fisher, Director and Assistant Director of the Jaguar Marching Band Colorguard, with the assistance of Colorguard Captains Lauren Peacock and Rebecca Guthrie.

Music
Students will perform in the stands with the Jaguar Marching Band during the first half in addition to their halftime performance!
For practice purposes - all students should focus on the four songs that will be performed during halftime first in their practice: Light 'Em Up, Backstreet Boys Medley, Word Up, and South!
We encourage you to also utilize the flipfolder app to look through the JMB stand tunes (there are a lot of them so don't worry about trying to learn them all). Percussion have selected stand tunes included in their PDF packet below.
Woodwind and Brass Music
Music for all brass and woodwind players will be available on the flipfolder app for the 2024 Jaguar Marching Honor Band. This app will give you access to the entire Jaguar Marching Band music library for your instrument. Drumline participants will need to download the music packets linked below. For performers with split parts, please play the part that you are most comfortable with.
Students performing on bass clarinet should read the Baritone TC music Students performing on Baritone Saxophone should read the Alto Saxophone music.
