Patrick Imsand will present a Faculty Guitar Recital featuring music by famous, and soon to be famous guitar composers.  The concert on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center, includes music by Rodrigo, Barrios, Villa-Lobos, Roland Dyens, and Johannes Möller.  On the program, Mr. Imsand will play the Five Preludes by Heitor Villa-Lobos, as well as several pieces in contrasting styles by Augustine Barrios. This is sure to be an exciting evening of guitar music influenced by many cultures stemming from South America, to Paris, and all the way to Africa and India.
      
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only.  Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only).  Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
