Tachoir Duo Guest Artist Jazz Vibraphone Recital at Laidlaw Oct 22

Jerry and Marlene Tachoir
Legendary touring and jazz recording artist Jerry Tachoir will be in concert on October
22, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Tachoir
is known all around the world performing on vibraphone and marimba for his live jazz
performances and Grammy-nominated albums recorded with the Jerry Tachoir Group, including
Canvas (1984, re-released 2012) and Jerry Tachoir & Friends (1986). Known as one
of the most famous students of famed jazz musician Gary Burton, Tachoir is currently
on tour with his wife and jazz pianist Marlene Tachoir. Together, the Tachoir duo
will perform a concert of vibraphone and piano compositions.
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. Admission
is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all
senior citizens (cash or check only). Persons needing more information about this
