Take a trip back in time as the Symphony Band, under the direction of new Associate Director of Bands Dr. Jason Rinehart, presents a concert of music with a nod to the Renaissance Era of music. The performance will take place in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall on Monday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. Composers featured include Giovanni Gabrieli, Alan Hovhaness, and Ron Nelson. Then the mood will be set for the upcoming “winter” season with works by Anne McGinty, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Richard Saucedo. The highlight of the evening will be the music of Danny Elfman from the movie, Nightmare Before Christmas.
