Dr. Denise Gainey and Dr. Yakov Kasman will present a guest artist clarinet and piano recital on Thursday, October 19 in the USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. Dr. Gainey is Professor of Clarinet at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Secretary of the International Clarinet Association. Dr. Kasman is Professor of Piano at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was a silver medalist at the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Their program will include Brahms' Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E-flat Major and Prokofiev's monumental Sonata in D Major, op. 94.

Tickets for this event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens. Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
