Tyler Tolles, Guest Faculty Percussion Recital April 3

The USA Percussive Arts Club and Percussion Ensemble is proud to host Tyler Tolles in concert on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. His concert will feature two world premiere performances alongside members of the USA Percussion Ensemble. Tyler Tolles is an active percussion performer and educator based in Tallahassee, Florida.
Tickets for this Musical Arts Series event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only). Musical Arts Series season passes will of course be honored for admission to this event. About the performer
Tyler Tolles performs professionally with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra (Principal Timpani), Tallahassee Ballet Orchestra, and the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. Tyler has been honored to perform, tour, and record with award-winning ensembles including the 6-time Drum Corps International World Champion Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps and the Downbeat Award-winning University of North Texas Latin Jazz Ensemble. He is a faculty member (adjunct) at the University of North Alabama where he teaches jazz vibraphone. He is currently pursuing a DM-Percussion Performance at The Florida State University where he also received both a MM-Percussion Performance and Jazz Studies under the tutelage of Dr. John W. Parks IV. He received his BM-Percussion Performance from the University of North Texas where his primary teachers included: Christopher Deane, Mark Ford, Robert Schietroma, and Ed Smith. Tyler is a proud member of the Percussive Arts Society, Florida Music Education Association, and National Association of Music Education.
