USA Music Announces the 2019-2020 Musical Arts Concert Series
Posted on July 1, 2019 by Keith Bohnet
USA’s Department of Music is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 Musical Arts Concert
Series, featuring faculty recitals and student ensemble performances worthy of inclusion
on anyone's "not-to-be-missed" list of events. Regular Musical Arts Series attendees
at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center have been treated since 2001 to an average of
35 series concerts per season, and this season will be no exception! Student ensemble
programs include regular concerts by the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, University
Chorale, Concert Choir, Opera & Musical Theatre, and multiple chamber ensembles, while
USA's performing faculty is represented in approximately half of the concerts in the
form of terrific solo and chamber ensemble recitals.
Go to the USA Music Department website at www.southalabama.edu/music or to www.southalabama.edu/colleges/music/mas.html to find out more about the Musical Arts Concert Series, including how to become a
member of the Musical Arts Society, how to purchase a season pass, where to find our
list of Musical Arts Series concerts, how to find out about our “other” 50 concerts
a year, and so much more! Your season pass will be good for EVERY ticketed concert
we host (except for announced special events like the Spring Opera performances).
Season brochures will be mailed out ONLY to last season's pass holders by the end
of July. If you did not purchase a MAS Pass for last season, please go to the website
to download an application for a season pass. If you are not sure about your MAS
status and would like for us to mail you a season brochure, send an email to kbohnet@southalabama.edu and Keith Bohnet will be sure to mail you a brochure and season pass request.

We send out concert reminders about 5-7 days before each of our concerts. Would you
like to be placed on our email list for those reminders? Contact events coordinator
Keith Bohnet by voice at (251) 460-7116 or email kbohnet@southalabama.edu and let him know you would like to be put on the list.
Get your Musical Arts Concert Series pass, and we’ll see you at the concerts!! (First
concert on the series is September 3!!)
