Join us Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. for a program of music as a tribute to Dr. Andrew Harper and in benefit of music scholarships in his honor. Harper was chair of the University of South Alabama Department of Music and active in the music community locally and nationally. Laura Moore, Randy Sheets, Andra Bohnet, the University Chorale, Grace Kim, Daniela Pardo, and musicians from the Excelsior Band, as well as Ben, Steve and Mary Helen Harper, will be playing music by Bartok, the Beatles, Whitacre, Celtic musicians and more.  The concert will take place in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

This benefit concert is free and open to the public. Donations to the Harper Endowed Scholarship in Music are welcome.  The Harper Endowed Scholarship in Music was established in 2006 by friends and colleagues of Dr. Andrew Harper. The scholarship provides an annual tuition award for a deserving student majoring in music at the University of South Alabama. All gifts made to the scholarship will be matched dollar for dollar by USA's Mitchell Moulton Scholarship Initiative.
