Award of the UPE Scholarship
Posted on November 19, 2018 by Spencer Radford
In the search for excellence and professional commitment to the computing and information
technology fields, the Executive Council of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) and the Association
for Computing Machinery (ACM) annually awards UPE scholarships. All full time graduate
and undergraduate students who are ACM members and also members of the ACM Student
Chapter at their academic institution are eligible.
The primary judging categories for awards are the applicant’s academic records, the tone of the faculty member’s recommendation, and the applicant’s ACM Chapter and/or department-related activities.
SoC would like to congratulate one of its own students, Blair Doyle, who recently won a $1,000 UPE scholarship!
Blair is a junior majoring in CS and serves as secretary of SoC's ACM Chapter.
