The Office of Academic Enhancement Announces 2024 LevelUP Program Accelerator Awards to Enhance Student Success

The University of South Alabama Office of Academic Enhancement is excited to announce the 2024 LevelUP Program Accelerator awards. As part of our LevelUP Quality Enhancement Plan, LevelUP Program Accelerators are awarded on a competitive basis to support academic programs and student success service units in developing and implementing plans for improving student preparation for their next steps.

"We are thrilled to recognize and support these outstanding programs through the 2024 LevelUP Program Accelerator awards," said Julie Estis, Ph.D., Executive Director of Academic Enhancement.  "These forward-thinking initiatives are a testament to our commitment to preparing students for their future careers and endeavors. By aligning with the LevelUP Quality Enhancement Plan, these programs will play a critical role in helping our students synthesize their learning experiences and develop the skills necessary to thrive in their next steps."

Through a highly competitive proposal and review process, 8 programs received funding to support program-level initiatives aligned with LevelUP.

About the LevelUP Quality Enhancement Plan:

The University of South Alabama’s LevelUP: Uniquely Prepared for What Comes Next Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a campus-wide initiative aimed at uniquely preparing students for what comes next. Through metacognitive reflections, students will synthesize connections among learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom as they look ahead and plan for their future. LevelUP provides enhanced opportunities for students to develop career readiness competencies that prepare them for life after their degree, as confident, ready, and capable members of the workforce or well-equipped graduate students.
