Spotlight on Dr. Ray Wu

Grounded in his passion for helping students grow and develop their skills, Dr. Ray Wu's teaching philosophy is ”that teaching is not just about conveying knowledge, but also about creating a sense of community and encouraging student participation. I strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their thoughts in a respectful manner."

Spotlight on Dr. John Halbrooks

Through his innovative teaching methods, Professor John Halbrooks, Associate Professor of English with a focus on Medieval and Renaissance Literature, is making a lasting impact on his students and the academic community at large. You might have heard about his students’ collaborative project on the role of place in Dickens' Our Mutual Friend, which he shared at the South Alabama Conference on Teaching and Learning in 2022.
