South Welcomes New SGA Leadership for 2025-26

KC Crusoe, a junior double majoring in political science and philosophy, has been elected president of the University of South Alabama Student Government Association for the 2025-26 term. 

Primary elections were held March 31-April 2, and SGA’s other elected officers are Vice President Andrew Parton, Treasurer Elise Rilley, Chief Justice Karrington Foley, Attorney General Kennedy Williams and Student-at-Large Sydnee Cantley. 

“This victory is not just mine — it belongs to every person who believed in our vision, supported our campaign, and exercised their right to vote for a better future,” Crusoe said. “As we embark on this new chapter, I am excited about what we will accomplish together. Let's build a community that cares, foster communication that counts, and create change that lasts.”

 

2025-26 South Alabama SGA leaders: 

Crusoe, 21, is a junior from Wetumpka, Alabama. He is a graduate of Park Crossing High School. Crusoe is the current SGA vice president and is the Collegiate 100 president, Pre-Law Society president, USA Campus Ministries vice president and a member of Blue Key Honors Society. He is also a recipient of the Frederick Palmer Whiddon Scholarship of Liberal Arts. 


Parton, 21, is a junior from Helena, Alabama and graduated from Helena High School. Parton serves as SGA Chief Justice. He is a member of the Honors College Association and Alpha Epsilon Delta and an undergraduate researcher for the Grelet Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Lab. Parton is also a five-time President’s List Award recipient. 


Rilley, 20, is a sophomore majoring in finance and economics. She is from Romeo, Michigan, and is a graduate of Romeo High School. She served as the Student Government Association director of marketing and public relations and the American Marketing Association president and is a member of the Financial Management Association. Rilley is also a Mitchell Scholar.


Foley, 19, is a sophomore majoring in professional health sciences with a concentration in management. She is from Huntsville, Alabama, and is a graduate of Sparkman High School. Foley has served as the Student Government Association director for campus Advocacy and the secretary for USA Campus Ministry. She also is a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Biomedical Sciences Society. She is on the President’s List and Dean’s List. 


Williams, 20, is a junior and is double majoring in political science and English. She is from Pascagoula, Mississippi, and is a graduate of Resurrection Catholic High School. Williams is a member of the Kappa Omega Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity, the USA Southerners, Honors College and the Pre-Law Society. She was recognized as Phi of the Year for Phi Mu and as a Red and Blue Scholar.


Cantley, 20, is a sophomore majoring in advertising and public relations with a minor in political science. She is a native of Fairhope, Alabama, and graduated from Fairhope High School. Cantley is a member of the Beta Theta Chapter of Chi Omega and the Honors College. She is a feature twirler in the Jaguar Marching Band and the author of a children’s coloring book, "Bee Healthy.”
