At the conclusion of the Collegiate 100 Leadership Institute in April, the South group was invited to present their research at the 100 Black Men of America’s 38th Annual Conference.

“The Leadership Institute gave me a whole different perspective on how young adults can change the scope of today’s society if we come together to learn, problem-solve and collaborate,” Mosely said. “From my experience so far, I have met great people from different backgrounds who gave me advice and support to be strong, studious and charismatic in the world.”

The Collegiate 100 is a college student organization that supports the development of social, emotional and educational needs of young people who need positive role models in the communities in which they live. The 100 Black Men of America Inc. Collegiate Leadership Institute program targets mentees at the collegiate level who are members of Collegiate 100 chapters.

Mosely and Montgomery also participated in a Leadership Academy at JD Finish Line Headquarters in Indianapolis. Through the experience, they gained vital leadership skills and mentorship from corporate leaders at JD Finish Line.
