USAPD Holds 'Check Your Ride' Safety Event; Students Encouraged to Make Sure Vehicles are Road Ready
Posted on February 20, 2015
The University of South Alabama Police Department will help students prepare to travel safely for spring break during a community policing program called “Check Your Ride” Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Jaguar Blvd., in front of the USAPD office.
The program will assist students with making sure their vehicle is road ready. USA police officers will assist students by checking and topping off fluids and making sure tire pressure is adequate. Police officers will do a visual inspection of hoses and belts and recommendations for replacements will be made, if necessary.
O’Reilly Auto Parts and Mark’s Automotive are partnering with USAPD on the program by donating auto supplies for inspections. Jaguar Productions and Student Health will also be giving out spring break bags to students who take advantage of the service.
For more information call USAPD at (251) 460-6312.
