Mobile Gas Company's "house warmers," c. 1925. Erik Overbey Collection.

The Doy Leale McCall Rare Book and Manuscript Library houses 8,000 linear feet of manuscript and archival material. That material is listed topically in this guide. The name of the collection may be that of a person, business, organization, institution, subject, or donor. The categories listed below are fairly broad and the guide is not exhaustive. Collections may appear in more than one category if they have material related to more than one subject. For example, Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Company will appear in both the Business & Industry category, and the War & Military category.
