Committees

This committee will function as a helping hand to all other committees in the area of publicizing events. This committee will always be chaired by the Program Director.

This committee will serve as the recruiting device for the BSU. It will also create different programs and ideas to increase membership. This committee will be chaired by the Vice-President.

This committee is responsible for service work in the community and University for the BSU. It is also responsible for preparing Mr. and Miss BSU during USA Homecoming, or any other pageants where BSU is represented. This committee will be chaired by Mr. and Miss BSU.

The Melanin Collective is an audition-based ensemble under the Black Student Union, showcasing diverse talent and musical styles. From gospel and R&B to pop, country, and classical, the group celebrates the richness of Black culture through their unique blend of genres.

This committee will be the voice for Black Culture on campus. It will be responsible for organizing its subcommittees and holding events and performances throughout the academic year. 

This Committee will assist the director with recruiting members to participate in USA Intramural Sports while also promoting personal growth and leadership through fun, engaging athletic activities.

The BSU Senate is responsible for representing members in legislative matters and ensuring that all voices are heard in decision-making. Comprised of a diverse group of students, including freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the Senate meets regularly to discuss and vote on important issues.
